question, and more applause
Date: 2005-07-26 02:34 am (UTC)Riiiight. Okay, then.
So, in light of this previous statement:
The point was that wizards knew how to deal the cards properly, and knew how to channel magic into turning over the proper card at the proper time.
...does that mean
1) Peter's trying to tell them something and it's not yet too late for them to wake up and acknowledge it
2) somehow, one or more of the others also knows something, but it's a subconscious denial thing
3) there's a Big Damn Destiny thing that's just too big to get around,
or
4) nothing really, you're just having fun over there, grinning to yourself as you type this up, because you can't wait to get on with it now that you've knocked out James and Peter for the night?
Coincidentally, I read this right after your 5th installment of Cartographer's Craft, with the Emperors game. I must say, in all your different universes, you're making me a happy Lupin fan.

Re: question, and more applause
Date: 2005-07-27 03:19 am (UTC)I guess I'm used to seeing pre-1981 Peter as a cringing toady in fanfic. When I see him holding his own among the others, I assume he's already got A Devious Plan set in motion. I mostly wanted to be sure it wasn't number one (in which he's either showing off, or trying to give his friends one last chance to pay attention and beg him to change his mind).

Date: 2006-05-11 03:20 pm (UTC)Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your fic. The characterization was wonderful and the card game was just ingenious. One can really tell that you put a lot of thought into this story. Oh, and the sex was alright I guess ^_^''...
BTW: I cannot believe that Remus does not like The Beatles! Blasphemy!

"I worked for that inheritance, I spent countless hours pissing my parents off to get it," Sirius said.
