This is a compendium of the "Hydrocodone Midnight Theatre" posts I did while I was recovering from surgery in late November. Essentially I would sit up after my folks went to bed and write fanfic to various prompts while tripping out on my (prescribed!) painkillers.

tehnakki: I love how suggestible you are when stoned! I should have spent today preparing weird fic ideas to take advantage of you in this state.
copperbadge: I’m spending like the next four days on high doses of opiates, so you’ve got time...

You can find all the original posts plus various side discussions under this tag on tumblr.

AO3: The Entire Series
Dreamwidth: Part One | Part Two
I am happy -- kind of -- to present to you my 2012 edition of Works No Longer In Progress. Super-short fics, fics I'm never going to finish, and odds and ends that didn't fit anywhere else. I did this last year and it was a lot of fun, and sometimes it inspires people to expand on stuff I don't have the time/energy/inclination to work on.

Title: Works No Longer In Progress, 2012
Rating: G through R, just to be on the safe side.
Fandoms: Avengers, Sherlock, Suits, White Collar, Merlin

Here at Dreamwidth
Here at AO3.
Title: Transfer Students
Fandoms: Avengers, X-Men, Batman
Rating: PG
Summary: Five times the Avengers pawned kids off on the Jean Grey School.

Title: Five White Collar AUs Sam Didn't Write
Rating: Nothing over PG
Warnings: None.
Summary: These are five AUs that could have been long fics, but aren't. One crossover, two alternate histories, and two alternate realities.
Notes: Hell with it, I don't even know how to deal with this show right now, but I had this stuff written...

( Five AUs... )

Rematch

Mar. 27th, 2011 03:14 pm
Title: Rematch
Rating: PG-13 (violence and language)
Warnings: Relatively graphic violence.
Summary: Neal and Sherlock's rematch in London was the high point of the International Law Enforcement Conference -- until Neal's tracker went dark.
Notes: Sequel to Paper Chase

Chapter One | Chapter Two

And, per Paper Chase tradition, I posted some beta quotes for this one, too.
Title: Neal Caffrey Versus The BBC
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Summary: Neal has a lead on a priceless work of art he wants to recover, and he needs Peter's help.

( Bow ties are cool, Peter. )

Lost Loves

Dec. 24th, 2010 11:37 pm
Title: Lost Loves
Rating: PG
Notes: This is a crossover, but to explain the other fandoms would seriously ruin everything.
Summary: Neal knows a very sad story about a thief and a sailor. Peter's still stuck on pirates.

( The video footage was inconclusive. )

Title: Half A Dozen Laconic Bastards
Rating: PG
Summary: John Sheppard didn't know he was part of an ATA-gene cloning project until it was much, much too late. Neal and Zane have a serious case of sibling rivalry, Ianto and Tim don't like the uniforms, and Gwen isn't sure she wants to be leader after all.
Fandoms: Stargate: Atlantis, White Collar, Eureka, Teen Titans, and Torchwood.
Warnings: None.
Notes: I'm aware the timing does not work in the slightest. If that's what you're hung up on, you're in for trouble, because this is a dumb fanfic. I mean, it's really dumb. I can't believe I squeezed almost five thousand words out of an idea this ridiculous. So don't say you weren't warned. This fanfic: Rated D, for Dumb.

( "So what did you do before the terrifying secret government agents showed up on your doorstep to tell you that you were a freaky half-clone?" )

Title: I Was Only Borrowing Time (I Was Going To Put It Back)
Fandoms: White Collar/Doctor Who.
Rating: PG
Summary: They haven't exactly met in linear order, Neal and the Doctor, but sometimes that makes for the best kind of friendship.
Warnings: None.
Notes: WHY CAN'T I STOP WRITING CROSSOVERS.

( Can we keep him? )
