But that's the point of the poster! The FBI killed El, and Peter flipped his shit and is going to find out whodunit if it kills him. It's the mirror White Collar :D

I mean, an AU is one thing, but there's no way Peter would ever go over to the other side if he still had El.

Okay, this is fair and would make a great fic arc, but I WAS NOT PREPARED.

What's sad is that I think Sam's scenario here is better plotted than Ianto's death was. El getting caught in crossfire or being assassinated makes far more sense than Jack confronting the 456 with no cards to play, no back-up plan, and no goddamn scuba mask for Ianto.

Well, I also think that it's from a reverse motivation. The reasoning goes "Ianto has to die to put Jack off his game to make him kill Steven" but Jack's capable of atrocities without losing a lover.

With this, it was "The only thing that could make Peter fucking lose it is if someone killed El." It's a deliberate dystopian reimagining too, rather than canon; this isn't something I want to see in canon or think would be good for it.

And frankly as much as I love Jack/Ianto, Peter and El have a way more invested relationship than they did -- they've got ten years of committed cohabitation behind them and they're much, much less dysfunctional than Jack and Ianto on their best days.
