I don't know if Jack ever got drunk and thought about it; I didn't write it in, but he probably did, and probably all it did was give him a temporal hangover. :) As for how he forgot in the first place -- well, it's been a hundred and fifty years. I'm thirty, and I can't remember the last name of the girl I was head over heels for when I was fifteen. Things slip away, y'know?
I do try not to break hearts :)
