It's finished.

Stealing Harry 27 and 28, the final two chapters (27, er, got a bit lengthy) went off to the betas about twenty minutes ago.

What a wild ride. It's been seven months since I began it, and in the meantime I've finished my MA coursework, survived a fairly serious car wreck, graded 360 papers, rearranged my flat twice, and seriously contemplated snake ownership.

And now I will sleep.
Yay! Today is Skyehawke day!

The little archive that could. Quality-controlled, application-open, all fandoms, all ratings, all good.

Because only idiots shouldn't be allowed to post fanfic.

I think that was quite possibly the last university class I'll ever have, where I'm not the TA or -- god forbid -- the professor.

Suitably climactic; we discussed the fall of Rome.

Costumes final went okay. I bolloxed the question on Dior and possibly the one on Elizabethan male clothing, but Big Gay Professor tends to Grade By Looking -- if it looks like we wrote enough, we get credit.

Now all I have left is the Roman History final on the 11th, which I'm pretty sure I can ownzor.

Not with a bang but with a whimper, that's me.
1. Seriously, my doctor's going to wonder if I have Munchausen's Syndrome. Five months, five visits, three separate ailments, but it's not as though I could fake the Leprosy, you know. Yes, I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow. If she comes near my eyeball with even the suggestion of a lance, I'm going to flee.

2. I have become fascinated with The Spinners' "Rubberband Man"* and am dying to write a fic about it but I'm not quite sure how. I'm told it's about heroin, which complicates things.

* Yes, I heard it for the first time on the OfficeMax commercial. But to my credit I found out who did it and have the whole song now...

3. I would really like Bauhaus if I could understand a word they sang. Telegram Sam is terribly catchy but I feel that it, like Rubberband Man, is probably about something addictive and illegal.

4. I have written the most boring thing ever. My boringness is killing Sweet Home. "Remus Lupin wanders around High Street." Who knew I could stretch six words into six hundred?
