JUST AS I WAS GOING TO BED FANDOM ATTACKED ME.

I couldn't write this fanfic, though it would be epic. I decided to summarise instead. The summary alone is...

It's too late at night to come up with an appropriate adjective.

No, I'm not adding SGA or Supernatural in. Don't even ask.

SLICE OF LIFE
The armageddon of crossover fanfic

Tobias Beecher, a life-sentence prisoner recently transferred to the Las Vegas Correctional Facility, becomes sick in solitary and the disease begins to spread. While CSIs Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows investigate potential foul play under the dubious command of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, an expert by the name of Gregory House is flown in from New Jersey to identify the source of the disease and contain it with the help of one of his new fellows, Dr. George O'Malley. Meanwhile, the rest of Grissom's unit are on the trail of a bloody mass murderer, aided by vacationing blood-spatter expert Dexter Morgan -- but an outsider is stalking their suspect as well.

Why does a man named AJ Crowley seem to be blocking Grissom's every move? Why is a cop named Vimes following Greg Sanders? Who hired PI Wimsey to investigate the blood-spattered deaths? How come all the evidence keeps pointing them back towards a dead millionaire by the name of Linderman whose casinos are now owned by Japanese investor Kyouya Ohtori? And how can the mysterious Doctor and his companion Elizabeth Bennet have been at both crime scenes at once?

Their only witness is Jack Sparrow, head of an international video-piracy ring. Their only lead is a young man named Potter with a lightning-bolt scar on his forehead. And only one thing is certain: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...or else.
I got on the train this morning with $40 in my pocket. I arrived home this afternoon with a haircut, three library books, two watches with new batteries, two weeks' worth of groceries, and three pennies.

Oh, and a pulled tendon.

It was feeling tight but walkable this morning, and I thought the stretching might do it some good. I ran for a bus after leaving the library, however, and felt something go pop just below my calf. So I will be spending the rest of the day on the futon with my leg up and an ice pack on it.

Fortunately, I have food for the soul, courtesy the Harold Washington Library. :)
I'm still rewatching all the old CSI episodes on tv-links.

"I'm Sophia Curtis."
"CSI Day Shift, you work for Ecklie."

Oh yeah. I remember why I stopped watching CSI now.

Also, do you guys have any idea how hard it is to ice the back of one's own leg?

But I HAVE made granola bars (family granola recipe, stirred into a mixture of 1/4 cup butter and 1 package mini-marshmallows, melted) and there is the promise of either hamburgers or ravioli alfredo for dinner.
