I was pleased to discover this morning that I am no longer the only person on the internet who is interested in Welsh tourism!

Although I am acting under the assumption that none of my comrades are also Information Centre employees and/or agents of a top-secret organisation fronted by the Welsh Tourism Board. If you are, don't tell me, I probably don't have clearance for that kind of thing. Also, ask headquarters to send me some new brochures on Brecon Beacons National Park, as the current ones are out of date and do not contain sufficient warnings regarding your likelihood of encountering cannibals.

Brecon Beacons: You Might Not Get Eaten!

Gwen complains a lot about how that camping trip made her lose her naivete but at the time I was busy being tenderised and unable to help Jack protect her from life's little tragedies, so I don't feel too guilty.

My point is, essentially, that southern Wales is a pleasant place to holiday, and as long as you stay within the Cardiff city limits you are 99% unlikely to be eaten by cannibals*. You are, however, 80% more likely to get laid than anywhere else in Wales**.

Come to Cardiff! Bring your umbrella!

* Statistic does not apply to Raxacoricofallipatorians, mutants of any description, or sex mist.
** Statistic is anecdotal but pretty well proven by the Ianto Jones Institute Of Have You Met Captain Jack Harkness.
I had no idea people found skin care so fascinating. Apparently it is vital stuff, and I will keep you all updated on the status of my slowly disintegrating face.

It has not been a good morning here at Chez 19th Floor. I accidentally double-booked a room LEIK WHOA, but that's the least of our worries; Coworker J, who normally arrives at 9, just called to say that he's on his way in and Bulletproof Coworker stopped by my desk half an hour ago to tell me that he's been fired (when he went permanent he went part-time as well, and now his department is letting their part-time and temp workers go; even if he'd stayed full-time temp he would have been fired).

THURSDAYS: STILL NOT GETTING THE HANG OF THEM.

But I do have a potsticker-and-poppyseed-muffin bento today, so there is some justice in the world.
Coworker J just walked by with three huge boxes in his arms.

Sam: Who are those for?
Coworker J: Coworker Orderslotsapackages.
Sam: Having fun?
Coworker J: If I had a third hand I'd be shaking my fist at you.
I don't ordinarily make a habit of this, but one's eighteenth birthday doesn't come around every day (or, you know, more than once). So, as per a very touching request by Emma --

Happy Birthday, Zoë!

I hope it's a great one. :)
So, the new Torchwood trailer is up! Children of Earth, IN YOUR FACE.

ETA: Sorry -- you can see it at BBC America, BBC, or by going to youtube and searching "torchwood trailer series 3" and scrolling down to the post by "torchwoodbbcamerica".

I watched it on the taxi ride home, on my iPhone, and it's beyond awesome that I can do that. The trailer itself is great -- not much I didn't already know because I'm a spoiler whore, but it's nice to see old familiar faces again.

Decisive lack of lolcats in new trailer. Sam is sad. :D

All that being said, the reason I was taking the cab home was a pounding headache, so now I'm going to go lie down and hopefully sleep it off. Feel free to use the comments to discuss, dissect, etc. By the time I wake up I should have a .avi file of it (I have Secret Weapons, yo). As always, please keep it polite and well-reasoned.

Note to all: potential spoilers in comments.
I am not dead! I feel better now.

Which is why I bring you the Children of Earth trailer, downloadable version. Small in size but suitable for screencaps, icons, vids, etc.

Sendspace version
Sendspace mirror, in case of high traffic.

I can't get megaupload to work, but if anyone wants to reup it to Megaupload or anywhere else, you're welcome to post links in comments. Enjoy!
