I think I found The Psychopath Test randomly on a library search, though it's possible someone suggested it to me. At any rate, it bills itself as "A journey through the madness industry" and I have a vested interest in madness.

And I suppose in that sense it works, at least...

Final Verdict: If you're interested in psychology, it's worth a look at the library, but I wouldn't pay money for it. If you're interested in psychopaths it's not exactly blood-and-gore true crime, and if you're interested in a discussion of the politics of big pharma and overdiagnosis, there are books with far more nuance that you would be better off reading.
Gaaaah.

It's Conference week this week, and everyone's gone bonkers. Tomorrow we have the massive company staff meeting and, due to an expanded Conference Week -- it used to be a Conference Day -- they rescheduled the company picnic for Friday, which is random, but whatever. I don't have to go to the picnic, fortunately, since I have a doctor's appointment (routine; no new broken limbs, promise). It's not that I don't like picnics, per se, except that I really don't. You have to be outside for them, and the daystar burns too brightly. This summer is unbearable. We better have a fucking awesome winter to make up for it.

But Conference Week does mean that I am already behind on email, and likely to get more so. I'm spending most of tomorrow in a dark room watching PowerPoints.

I did want to recc a fic to distract you all while I'm gone, and because it's awesome -- Raw Footage, which I helped beta. It's Foxy, writing about the Avengers dickbombing each other, so you know it's good.

Sometimes I think being a grownup is exhausting, and then I read fanfic about dickbombing and I think, I'm not even a grownup most of the time.
