Jan. 5th, 2016 05:24 pmI am home from Austin! Not entirely enthused about the cold or having to go back to work tomorrow, but then, when am I ever. At least it was a quiet flight, and the seat next to me was empty because the guy on the window seat had a dog traveling with him. Aw, puppy.
Today's origami is some kind of flower (instructions here) because someone linked me to it and my origami calendar is still packed from traveling. Traditionally, flowers are a bit difficult to photograph because they're kind of 360-symmetrical, hence the elegant walnut-shaped ceramic dish to prop it up.
Not the easiest to fold, either; too many doublings-over, and there's a weird raw edge on the blossom. But it was an interesting challenge.
